FWOTB: Fine Wine On A Tight Budget | Boston Wine School @ Ipswich
January 17 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm$69.00
Affordable every day wines have never tasted better, had higher quality, nor been as deliciously dependable as they are now. These wines come from all around the world and are made by producers both big and small. How do they do it? The real question is, how do YOU do it? Find out some answers to this question and learn some super-savvy wine shopping techniques during this 2-hour interactive tasting class.
Sure, anybody can go to the Wine Warehouse and maybe get lucky with a $3 wine that tastes like an $6 wine, and doing the arithmetic, you’d call that a bargain. You’ll experience a half-dozen mind-blowing wines under $20 that you’ll swear taste twice as expensive. Like affordable southern Rhone wines that will remind you of Chateauneuf-du-Pape and scary good reds from the Douro in Portugal that fill up the glass like a $30+ California Cabernet.
Along the way, the class will learn basic wine tasting skills and how to describe the different personalities of these wines. Appetizers and an assortment of cheeses will be served during class to introduce some of the fundamentals of pairing wine and food.
