ID

We are required by law (and good sense) to verify everyone’s age before class begins, so please bring a valid ID.

AGE

Guests, students and certificate candidates must meet the legal minimum age for the retail purchase of alcoholic beverages in the country where the program is being held: 21 in the USA and 18 in China.

ACCESS

The KITCHEN, VINOvations, and Cellar Door classrooms are wheelchair accessible. The classroom at Solera in Roslindale and the bathroom at Olive Connection are down a flight of stairs, so please let us know if you have access needs.

FOOD

Please let us know if you have any food allergies, or if there are foods you cannot eat for any reason. We always have plenty of bread, olives, antipasto, and that sort of thing to nibble on while we taste.

DRESS CODE

Boston Wine School is a very comfortable, casual environment, and as such, there is no dress code. It’s always smart to dress in dark colors: black skirt, brown slacks, burgundy top, that sort of thing. No one wants to go home looking like a Jackson Pollock painting!

FRAGRANCES

Our classrooms are relatively small spaces, and in wine class, we are trying to concentrate on smelling wine, not one another. Please no perfume, cologne, body spray, aromatic hair gel or other strong fragrances.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

At the Boston Wine School, we are a 100% snob free zone. We believe that learning about wine and food involves learning about yourself, and we promise to challenge all our students to pursue that adventure of discovery. Our goal is to help wine lovers understand deeply and communicate completely what we are experiencing through a glass of wine and the perfect pairing of food.
