Founded in 2000 by wine writer and author Jonathon Alsop, the Boston Wine School has become a cornerstone for wine education in New England and beyond. Stone Zoo is located near the Spot Pond reservoir in Stoneham, Massachusetts, and is operated and managed by Zoo New England. Zoo New England’s mission is to inspire people to protect and sustain the natural world for future generations by creating fun and engaging experiences that integrate wildlife and conservation programs, research, and education.
For more than 100 years, Stone Zoo has delighted generations of visitors. This 26-acre site is home to reindeer, white-cheeked gibbons, North American river otters, a pack of Mexican gray wolves and a whole range of fascinating animals from around the world. The Treasures of the Sierra Madre habitats feature cougars, a jaguar and Gila monsters. Stroll through the colorful and immersive Caribbean Coast to see Caribbean flamingos, and don’t miss a stop by the black bear habitat and spend time with Smoky and Bubba, or the Himalayan Highlands home to magnificent snow leopards.
